Tribal Discovery offers you great white water rafting trips down the River Lohit which flows down through China and enters India at the border hamlet of Kibithu and offers Grade 4+5 rapids at the upper stretches. We also have trips down the Subansari River which is even more challenging than the Lohit. Rafting Adventure 1: Grade 2+
This rafting trip starts from Bhalukpong which we reach after driving from Guwahati.
We combine angling with white water rafting and sightseeing at Itanagar for a day on this trip making it more eventful. This tour only offers one day rafting trips at Bhalukpong and then at Boleng & Panging to Yembung a 45 Km stretch. The entire tour goes through lush countryside full of thick forests and quaint villages.

White Water Rafting Adventure: 2 – Grade 4: + all along.
An Indian army rafting expedition did this rafting trip down the Lohit River in 1994 on Kayaks with support rafts. We drive from Dibrugarh to the town of Tezu and on the next day to the hamlet of Walong which has hot springs then continue to the border village of Kibithu. After a day of organising the rafts we start our rafting trip down the Lohit River.
This 5 day rafting trip ends at the sacred spot of Parshuram Kund from where we drive back to Tezu and finally to Dibrugarh for your onward destination.

NOTE : At each halting point during the tour Tribal Discovery offers a well set up camp with excellent food and well trained camp staff. See Itinerary

White Water Rafting Adventure: 3 - Grade: 4-5+
The Subansari literally meaning the 'gold river' is the largest tributary of the Brahmaputra joining it in the upper stretches. Starting from the upper reaches of Tibet it where it flows for over170 Kms it enters India at the river island of Majuli after running almost 345 Kms in the north east region before merging with the Brahmaputra River at Majuli a large inhabited river Island. The entire rafting trip goes through thick forests teeming with exotic wildlife and through spectacular gorges. The Subansari is still quite isolated and extremely challenging as a white water rafting river. There are no roads close to the river and the terrain is quite awesome with vertical rock cliffs in some stretches. We take along an extra raft carrying supplies for setting up camp at a few places. This thrilling rafting trip ends at Sonari Ghat from where we cross over to Dibrugarh for our onward destination after a day's rest.
