Nagaland is one extravagantly rich cultural land with 14 different tribe inhabiting its lush forests and deep valleys. Practising animism in the earlier part of the last century and devoted head hunters the Nagas have now embraced more modern ways and attitudes. However there are still pockets in this state that are quite remote and the people there still believe in spirits and Shamans who exorcise them. Another strong belief among these brave people is that man and the tiger share a close relationship. However with British Missionaries spreading the gospel among these tribes in the early 20 th century, today 85% of Nagas believe in Christianity. Among the tribes one of the most significant are the Angami.
