High Altitude Trekking & Mountaineering Expedition In Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Himalayas is located between 26.28° and 29.30° and longitudes 91.30° E and 97.30° E. It is bounded by the Bhutan Himalayas in the East and Tibet Himalayas to the North. Mountaineering expeditions in the Kangto and Gorichen ranges of the Arunachal Himalayas takes you to some of the most scenic areas of the state. Some of the main mountain peaks in the state that can be attempted include:

Kangto -7042m
Nyegi Kangsang- 6983m
Gorichen Main –6488m
Gorichen East 6222m
Takpa Siri - 6655 m
Chomo - 6000
Unnamed Peaks- 6400m

Some of the other peaks in the surrounding region are still unnamed and have not been attempted so far offering the climber a first opportunity to attempt them. For an attempt on any of the peaks in the state special permission is required from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation based in New Delhi. Apply at least 4 months in advance as processing of the application does take some time. IMF charges a fee for every peak that you want to climb. This fee is collected by the IMF for the government. Tribal Discovery will facilitate processing of your application and arrange all basic ground and camp support in terms of camp equipment, entire camp staff including HAPs (High Altitude Porters), and vehicles. IMF will provide a Liaison Officer which is mandatory to accompany any expedition group.
